The Jeep or Thar as the model name states is a very powerful, good looking, cheap Jeep that has a 2.5 litre turbo-diesel engine. The Thar is a very affordable Jeep and costs only R169 900 when bought straight out of the box. This Jeep is becoming increasingly popular amongst Jeep-enthusiasts.
The Mahindra Axe is known as a General High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV) and is most commonly used by the military for wars. M&M is planning on creating a civilian version of the Axe which will only come out with a diesel engine and an automatic transmission system. However, the rest of the above mentioned vehicles are available in either manual or automatic transmission systems, with a diesel or a petrol engine.
M&M is spreading its reach beyond usual markets. They have now also entered into the two-wheeler industry and have had as much success with it as with any of their other ranges. They also have partnerships with international companies such as Renault SA, France, as well as International Truck and engine Corporation. They are one of the leading tractor brands in the world: they design, develop, manufacture, trade and market tractors as well as farm implements.
